When Hunger Doesn’t Wait
You know those evenings when you come home all tired and your stomach is making more noise than the traffic outside? Yeah that is me almost every other day. 😅 Some days I am too lazy to even boil water forget about cooking a proper meal. That’s when instant foods and ready-to-eat stuff feel like a blessing straight from heaven.

Last month……
I came home after a long metro ride totally drained. I opened the fridge and just stared—nothing but a packet of frozen food and half a bottle of ketchup. My mom would have rolled her eyes if she saw that. But I tossed those frozen parathas on the pan heated them for a few minutes and they actually turned out pretty good. I had dinner in ten minutes flat.
Quick Meals and Busy Lives
Delhi life is fast.no? Everyone is rushing somewhere. Morning rush office deadlines evening traffic—it just never ends. So for me, quick meals are not just about laziness, they are about survival.

Sometimes during office lunch breaks….I see people eating their neat homemade dabbas and then there is me with my instant noodles or microwaved biryani. And honestly? I am okay with that. Because it still tastes like comfort. Plus, when you add a little twist—like extra masala or chopped onions—it feels homemade anyway.
Aap Ka Bazar to the Rescue
Recently, I started picking up all my instant and frozen foods from Aap Ka Bazar this supermarket near my place. They have got everything—from momos and paneer tikkas to ready-to-eat curries that actually taste decent. I went there one Sunday with my friend and we ended up spending almost an hour just checking out all the new snacks and frozen items.

You know how it is… you go to buy one thing and come back with a full bag. That’s Aap Ka Bazar for you. 😄
What I liked is they keep good brands, fresh stock and even some local favourites. Plus, the prices don’t hurt your pocket—which means I can stock up my freezer guilt-free for those lazy nights.
Not a Replacement, But a Relief

I’m not saying instant foods can replace proper ghar ka khana. Never. Maa ke haath ka dal-chawal has its own magic. But when life gets too busy or you are living alone or you just want something quick without a mess—these ready-to-eat options genuinely save the day.
So now, whenever I am too tired to cook or just in the mood for something quick I open my freezer smile at my little collection from Aap Ka Bazar, and pick my comfort for the day.
Because sometimes happiness really does come in a packet. ❤️
