Mccain's at aap ka bazar

“When Cooking Feels Like a Task”

Have you ever experienced this pointedly when you return home from a day that was exhausting already? Your stomach is craving for food really badly but your mind is saying, “Oh no man, not today ?” Yes… the exact same thing. That really tired, partly-hungry and partly-irritated mood. Often these moments the instant-cook meals are a big blessing in disguise.

Last Friday was one of those days when I was completely wiped out. Coming home late, the lights were flickering, head was spinning, and no mom was at home. Normally, that would mean going into instant cranky mode. Just then I remembered—I had a pack of McCain’s Aloo Tikki from Aap Ka Bazar sitting in the freezer. Man, I swear, in ten minutes—hot, crispy tikkis on the plate, some ketchup, and a cup of tea. The first bite? Island of tranquility.

The reality is, these quick meals and heat-and-eat choices have grown to be an everyday affair among the Indian population. Who can afford to slice onions and be in the kitchen all night with pressures of work, traffic, and the constant hustle? Keeping just two to three packs of prepared food in the freezer doesn’t only mean you are a lazy but also indicates that you are wise in the way you live.

Also, I must say Aap Ka Bazar deserves kudos for their frozen food range. They don’t have fresh vegetables, still their frozen section is? Amazing ! You can get things from parathas and paneer gravies to McCain’s fries, nuggets, smiles—you just name it, and they will deliver it. But McCain—oh my God. Total lifesaver! It is delicious, it requires only a few minutes of cooking time, and it’s even a favorite among the pickiest of kids.

one does not have to be a master chef. It’s either the oven or the pan that you will be heating it in, and voila! You have something golden and crispy that looks like there was an effort put in, but there wasn’t really. McCain’s uses top quality ingredients so it doesn’t seem “fake” or oily like some others do.
